With 5% of the world’s population and 30% of the world’s cars, the US emits 45% of the CO2 produced by cars. This is according to a report by the advocacy group: Environmental Defense.

So what? Give a tax break for a gas guzzler, lower fuel efficiency standards, and drill for more oil damnit! That is US energy policy in practice, don’t you love it?
